Summary of career workshops in WS 2024/2025
In the winter semester of 2024, the VŠE Career Center organized a total of 17 career workshops focused on both professional and personal development. Fourteen of these workshops were conducted in Czech, while three were held in English to engage international students.
The workshops were led by experienced professionals, including career advisors, coaches, HR consultants, and other specialists, who provided students with practical advice and valuable insights for tackling career challenges. These events not only offered students new information but also inspiration and support on their journey to building a successful professional path. This semester we focused on the following topics:

- Identifying, Naming, and Selling Your Strengths
- How to Succeed in a Job Interview

- CV and Motivation Letter
- How to Ace Your Job Interview
- Starting and Shaping Your Career While Studying
- Your Life, Your Priorities: Don’t Be Afraid to Put Yourself First
- Shining in Interviews
- Tricky Interview Questions and How to Answer Them
- How to Nail a Job Interview
- Managing Stress and Finding Balance (Especially During Exam Periods)
The workshops were spread throughout the semester, with the highest concentration occurring during the Job Fair ŠANCE, held from October 15–17, 2024. Seven workshops were conducted online, while the remaining ten were held in person at the university.
To continuously improve our services, we collect feedback from students after each workshop. Here are some highlights:

- “Learning to manage your mindset is extremely important, and the topic of Positive Intelligence caught my attention. I was looking for practical tips on eliminating negative thoughts that influence us daily.” – Career Workshop: Positive Intelligence (September 24, 2024)
- “I have no experience with interviews or preparation for them, and I wanted to change that.” – Career Workshop: Shining in Interviews (November 18, 2024)
- “I’m currently considering working for large corporations, so I wanted to hear the opinion and experiences of someone who spent most of their career in them.” – Career Workshop: Building a Career in a Multinational Corporation (October 17, 2024)
